Saving your own seed and growing them regularly means the plants will slowly adapt to your soil and climate, becoming more vigorous with each season. The petals can be infused in water for a delicate floral drink, or used to decorate delicious posies. In traditional herbalism sweet peas have been used as a soothing poultice. But the truest use of a sweet pea is simply to pick it and bring it indoors — and let the scent do what it has always done.
